Botafogo Seals Deal for Left-Back Alex Telles
Botafogo has successfully signed Brazilian left-back Alex Telles in a swift negotiation on the final day of the transfer window. The 31-year-old joins from Saudi club Al-Nassr after his contract was mutually terminated. This rapid move was finalized within hours as Botafogo and Telles agreed on salary and contract terms, resulting in a two-and-a-half-year deal.
The transfer comes after Al-Nassr exceeded the Saudi Arabian Football Federation's new foreign player quota, prompting Telles’ availability on the market. During his time with Al-Nassr, Telles made 44 appearances, scoring three goals and providing six assists. His experience includes participation in the 2022 World Cup with Brazil, showcasing his caliber on the international stage.
