🏆 2024/25 Nations League draw ✅
The draw for the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League group stage took place in the capital city of France, Paris, where Italy, Belgium, and France were all placed in Group B of League A!
The draw resulted in the following groupings:
League A
Group A: Croatia, Portugal, Poland, Scotland
Group B: Italy, Belgium, France, Israel
Group C: Netherlands, Hungary, Germany, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Group D: Spain, Denmark, Switzerland, Serbia
League B
Group A: Czech Republic, Ukraine, Albania, Georgia
Group B: England, Finland, Ireland, Greece
Group C: Austria, Norway, Slovenia, Kazakhstan
Group D: Wales, Iceland, Montenegro, Turkey
League C
Group A: Sweden, Azerbaijan, Slovakia, Estonia
Group B: Romania, Kosovo, Cyprus, Lithuania/Gibraltar (to be decided after the playoffs in March 2024)
Group C: Luxembourg, Bulgaria, Northern Ireland, Belarus
Group D: Armenia, Faroe Islands, North Macedonia, Latvia
League D
Group A: Lithuania/Gibraltar (to be decided after the playoffs in March 2024), San Marino, Liechtenstein
Group B: Moldova, Malta, Andorra
The grouping was based on the performance of the 54 UEFA member associations in the 2022/23 UEFA Nations League. Teams were seeded according to their performance in the 2022/23 season.
The draw started with League D, where each team will play home and away matches against the other teams in their group. League D consists of two groups with three teams each, while the other leagues have four groups with four teams each.
The promotion and relegation rules are as follows:
1. The top two teams in each group of League A will enter the quarter-finals, with winners advancing to the final. The fourth-placed team in each group of League A and League B will be automatically relegated to League B and League C respectively. The two lowest-ranked fourth-placed teams in League C will be relegated to League D.
2. The winners of each group in League B and League C, as well as the top two teams in each group of League D, will be promoted to the higher league.
3. Third-placed teams in League A and second-placed teams in League B, as well as third-placed teams in League B and second-placed teams in League C, will play home and away playoff matches for promotion and relegation.
4. Additionally, the two best fourth-placed teams in League C will play a playoff match against the second-placed team in one of the groups in League D.
